Darryl Hickman was born Darryl Gerard Hickman in Los Angeles, in 1931.
He made his film debut for Paramount Pictures in 1938, at the age of 7. He went on to appear in more than 60 feature films. His last film appearance was in 1981.
Hickman turned to television guest roles in the early 1950s. He starred in the series The Americans (1961). He later became an acting coach.
Hickman married the actress Pamela Lincoln in 1959. They raised two children and divorced in 1982. His second wife is Lynda Farmer.
His younger brother, the actor Dwayne Hickman, also started out as a child actor.
