Biography

BIO

Dickie Moore was born John Richard Moore, Jr., in Los Angeles, in 1925.

A child actor, Moore made his film debut for Feature Productions in 1927 at the age of 2.   He appeared in more than 85 feature films through 1952.

Moore served in World War II as a correspondent for the U.S. armed forces newspaper Stars and Stripes.

After his film career faded, Moore began working for Actor’s Equity and eventually started his own public relations firm, Dick Moore Associates, in 1966.

Moore married three times:

  1. Pat Dempsey, 1948-1954, one child, divorced;
  2. Eleanor Fitzpatrick, 1959-?;
  3. Jane Powell, actress, 1988-2015;

He died in Wilton, Connecticut, in 2015. at the age of 89.
