Biography

BIO

Jackie "Butch" Jenkins was born in Los Angeles in 1937.   His mother was the actress Doris Dudley.

In 1943, Jenkins made his film debut at the age of six after a talent scout saw him playing on the beach.

After appearing in more than 10 feature films, Jenkins retired from acting, at the age of eleven, after he developed a stutter that, even as an adult, he was unable to overcome.   His childhood earnings left him independently wealthy.   Jenkins moved to Texas and managed a chain of car wash outlets.

He died in Asheville, North Carolina in 2001.   Jenkins was 63 years old.
