BIO
Joanna Cassidy was born Joanna Virginia Caskey in Haddonfield, New Jersey, in 1945. Her parents were artists and Cassidy graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in art. She married a doctor-in-residency and the couple moved to San Francisco, California where she began raising two children, worked as a model and began her acting career.
She made her film debut in 1968, at the age of 23, for Warner Bros. She has appeared in more than 45 feature films and numerous television series.
Cassidy has received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for her performances in Buffalo Bill (1984) and Six Feet Under (2006).
She married Dr. Kennard Korbin in 1964. They divorced in 1974.
