Biography

BIO

Steve Brodie was born John Stevens in El Dorado, Kansas, in 1919.

Brodie appeared in his first feature in 1944, at the age of 25, for Universal Pictures.    He went on to appear as a character actor in more than 70 features.    His last film role was in 1989.

He could be seen in mostly television guest roles beginning in the early 1950s.

Brodie married the actress Lois Andrews in 1946.    She died in 1968.    Their son is the former child actor and film director Kevin Brodie.    Their granddaughter is the actress Farren Monét.

Brodie died of cancer in Los Angeles in 1992.    He was 72 years old.
