Biography
BIO
William Sanderson was born in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1948. His father was a landscape designer and his mother an elementary school teacher. Sanderson graduated from the University of Memphis with a law degree.
He made his feature film debut in 1977, at the age of 29. He has appeared in more than 50 feature films.
Sanderson was also a cast member of the long-running television comedy series Newhart (1982-1990).
He married Aprile Lyon in 1984 and they subsequently divorced. Sanderson married Sharon Wix in 1993 and has one child from an earlier relationship.
