Biography

BIO

Yukiko Shimazaki | 島崎雪子 was born Toshiko Tsuchiya in Tokyo, in 1931.

Trained as a singer and actress, Shimazaki made her film debut for Toho in 1951 at the age of 20.   After appearing in 15 motion pictures, her last film role was in 1964.

She married the Japanese porn director Kumashiro Tatsumi (1927-1995) in 1955.   They divorced in 1967 and she later remarried.

Shimazaki began her career as a Japanese chanson singer in 1959 and opened a club in Tokyo’s Ginza district where she worked and performed through the 1970s.

She died in 2014 at the age of 83.
