BIO

Arthur Hornblow Jr. was born in New York City in 1893.   His father was a playwright and later a theatre critic.   Hornblow attended Dartmouth College and received a law degree from New York Law School before serving as a counter-intelligence officer during World War I.

Following in his father’s footsteps, Hornblow began his entertainment career as a playwright and had four of his plays produced on Broadway between 1922 and 1930.
