BIO
Brigitte Fossey was born in Tourcoing, Nord, France, in 1946. Her father was a school teacher.
She started her career as a child actor, first appearing in the classic film Forbidden Games (1952).
Fossey appeared in only a few films as a juvenile and re-emerged as an adult actress in the 1960s.
She became a star in France and received two César Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress in The Good and the Bad (1976) and Best Actress in Closet Children (1977).
Fossey has appeared in more than 45 feature films, but has focused the majority of her work in television since the 1990s.
She married the actor/director Jean-François Adam in 1966. Her husband committed suicide in 1980, at the age of 42. Their daughter is the actress Marie Adam (b. 1968).
