Biography
BIO
Clara Langsner was born in Austria in 1884.
She made her Broadway debut in 1926 at the age of 42. She appeared in 5 productions through 1943. Her last Broadway stint was in a revival of the 1931 play Counsellor-at-Law in the role she made famous in the 1933 film version.
Langsner only appeared in four motion pictures between 1930 and 1933, including her last film, Counsellor at Law, playing John Barrymore’s mother. In reality, she was two years younger than Barrymore.
