Biography

BIO

David Landau was born David Magee in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1879.

He made his Broadway debut, at the age of 40, in 1919.   Landau went on to appear in 12 productions through 1929.

Although he appeared in one silent film feature in 1915 for George Kleine Productions, Landau did not return to film until 1931.

He appeared in more than 30 feature films through 1934 before his career was cut short for health reasons.

Landau suffered a stroke in 1934 and died in Hollywood, in 1935, at the age of 56.
