Biography
BIO
Embeth Davidtz was born Embeth Jean Davidtz in Lafayette, Indiana, in 1965. Her father was a professor of chemical engineering. Her parents, originally from South Africa, returned in 1974 and she was raised near Pretoria.
After appearing on stage in South Africa, Davidtz was cast in her first South African feature film in 1989 at the age of 24. She moved to Hollywood in 1991 and has since appeared in more than 25 motion pictures.
Davidtz married entertainment attorney Jason Sloane in 2002 and the couple have two children.
