Biography

BIO

Gerald R. Molen was born Gerald Robert Molen in Great Falls, Montana, in 1935.   He grew up in Los Angeles where his mother ran a cafe.

Molen began his film studio career repairing studio vehicles and working as a driver before becoming a transportation coordinator in 1975, at the age of 40, for various Hollywood studios.

He moved into producing in 1981 as a unit production manager before becoming a producer in the late 1980s.

He shared the Best Picture Oscar for Schindler’s List (1993) with Branko Lustig and Steven Spielberg.
