Biography

BIO

Reed Hadley was born Reed Herring in Petrolia, Texas, in 1911. His father was a well driller.   He was raised in Buffalo, New York.

He made his film debut in 1938, at the age of 27, for Republic Pictures.

Reed appeared in 95 feature films and used his deep voice for narration work.   His last film role was in 1971.

He moved to television in the early 1950s.   Reed starred in Racket Squad (1951-1953) and The Public Defender (1954-1955).

He and his wife Helen raised one son.

Reed Hadley died in 1974, in Los Angeles, of a heart attack.   He was 63 years old.
