Now, Voyager (1941)

Now, Voyager

by Olive Higgins Prouty

Now, Voyager, published in 1941, was the second in a series of five Vale novels focused on a single family.

Prouty was already a well-known novelist, having had her popular 1923 novel Stella Dallas made into movies in 1925 and 1937.

She had been admitted to a psychiatric facility twice and was thus intimately familiar with the subject matter for Now, Voyager.
