Biography

BIO

Ron Cook was born in South Shields, Tyne and Wear, England, in 1948.   He began training as an actor at Rose Bruford College.

Cook began his acting career on the regional stage before appearing with the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1984.   He received a Laurence Olivier Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in 2000 for his performances in a revival of Juno and the Paycock and continues to appear on the English stage.

He made his Broadway debut in a revival of Hamlet in 2009.

Cook first appeared on the small screen in a British television mini-series in 1975 at the age of 27.   He followed that up with his first feature film performance in 1976.

Though most of his career has been in television, Cook has also appeared in more than 15 feature films.
