Biography

BIO

Jameson Thomas was born in London, England, in 1888.

He made his West End stage debut in 1911 at the age of 23.

His swarthy complexion led him to be cast in his first British silent feature for Graham-Wilcox Productions in 1923 at the age of 35.   He appeared in more than 25 British and German feature films before decamping to Hollywood in 1930.

He appeared in more than 30 Hollywood features through 1939.

Thomas was married to the British stage actress Dorothy Dix.   The couple separated in the early 1930s when she returned to England to continue her stage career.

He died of tuberculosis in Sierra Madre, California, in 1939.
